Was contacted by this owner to help bring his sailboat from the coast down to pdx. We had issues with cooling on Tuesday morning which delayed our departure to Wednesday morning. Upon departing we ran into some fuel issues with the lift pump and loose hose connections. Later in the day we made Rainer, and as we were pulling into the dock the coolant pump started singing.
Next day we tried to push on but the coolant pump started leaking water so we stopped in St Helens. Owner will hopefully get his boat towed to pdx, where he will spend time repairing his engine.
The river was beautiful and crisp, and quite enjoyable in December 🙂
I was at that boat. Ray knew my boat better than I did when he walked on. We had a fuel delivery hose issue and, toward the very end, a cooling pump failure. Everything was taken care of quickly and correctly. Ray knows the Columbia river like a gypsy knows a palm. I appreciate Rays work and would use him again.
