Being a captain on a charter boat is very interesting. It involves lots of efforts like provisioning, changing out linens, and then dealing with the charter customers for itineraries, logistics, and special requests.
Some times charters are only a few hours, but then other times charters can be a week or more. Each of these has there challenges.
I have gained experience on charter boats in the Caribbean, Boston, New York, Alaska, and out of Astoria, OR. Usually in charter situations gratuities are quite nice.
