In the marine industry an engineer is usually coined as a wiper, the credential of an marine engineer is the QMED. I have the wiper on my ticket but I do not have the QMED. Do have a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University.
Have a seat of 2014 solidworks PRO, which gives me some FEA capability. Being a USCG merchant marine with an engineering degree gives me the capability to address situations quickly. More than once I have used my skills and knowledge to address situations.
