Provisions

Pzxby8j6jzf11Provisioning a boat is a challenge, but can also be rewarding.

I have a rule on our hawaii deliveries, basically a grocery cart full of food for each person on board 🙂

Tell you the truth I love to cook.  I have many tools at home including Big Green Egg, treager pellet grill, instant pot, dutch ovens with legs, vacuum bager, dehydrator, and canning pressure cooker.

I cook meals and vacuum bag or can stuff.  Some times I bring my lifetime cooler on our deliveries if we are short on refrigeration.  We use blue cooler bricks in the freezer and every day we swap them out in the cooler.

Take a look at my “food article” link on the right side bar.  I wrote this up for NW yachting.

Usually if I catch tuna, I take most of it cook it up in to a tuna fish salad in a zip lock bag.

We can have it on crackers, celery, and put it on bagels with cheese melted in an oven.

I will talk more about fishing on my “fishing” page.
