They say once a racer, always a racer. Found this to be quite true, when on sailing deliveries always tweaking sails trying to get that last 0.1 knots out of the boat speed. Don’t mind the extra work of putting spinnakers up and down and white sails up and down 🙂
After junior sailing at KYC, went into college sailing as I was earning my engineering degree. Then started big boat sailing on the columbia river, which introduced me to the Oregon Offshore. Have done 15 oregon offshores, and 15 swiftsures, multiple NOOD events, two melges 24 worlds, cal 20 north americans, 7 round the counties, 3 northern centuries, and numerous Seattle events. Lots of club racing at WSC and VLSC, as well as down in Eugene.
